Life Members

of the Blaxland Chamber of Commerce

Over the years many people have contributed to the community through business in Blaxland.   From time to time, the Blaxland Chamber has granted “Life Member” recognition to some who have made an exceptional contribution through their efforts in business and the Chamber of Commerce.

While some of them have passed on, they all have made a lasting impact on the people of Blaxland.

John Oakey

John Oakey springs into action with his pot of paint and brushes, erasing graffiti tags with unwavering determination. John, known to police as the “Graffiti Guy,” has a profound aversion to graffiti. He volunteers his time to remove thousands of tags, diligently patrolling the Lower Blue Mountains, including Lapstone, Warrimoo, and his home suburb, Glenbrook.

Mrs Patricia (Pat) Totenhofer

Mrs. Tot was a beloved figure in our community, known for her dedication and warmth. From 1962 until her husband’s retirement, she worked alongside him at Blaxland Hardware. Afterward, she continued to serve the community through Mrs. Tot’s Kitchen Cupboard until 2016. Her contributions were deeply valued by both the business community and local residents. Mrs. Tot was especially cherished for her strong Christian faith, which inspired many and strengthened her connections within the community.

Trevor Lloyd OAM

Trevor served as President of the Blaxland Chamber from 2010 to 2014 and was also a Past President of the Rotary Club of the Lower Blue Mountains, in addition to his involvement in many other committees within the Blue Mountains. Alongside his wife Marianne, he ran a successful valuation business. Trevor truly excelled when engaged in community work. As a former Gnome Master and the visionary behind Rotary Recycles in Blaxland, his innovation and dedication left a lasting impact on the community.

Mr Phillip Chapman

Over 35 years ago, Phillip established the first Chapman Real Estate office in Blaxland. This venture expanded to encompass a total of seven offices across the Blue Mountains. Phillip has always taken great pride in both the brand and the dedicated teams behind it. His legacy endures through his wisdom, hard work, and deep love for real estate and the Blue Mountains community.
